Italian Records Update

Zoom Presentation Saturday, January 13, 2024, 11 a.m. EST

The Italian Genealogical Group (IGG) will host a Zoom presentation by Suzanne Russo-Adams on Saturday, January 13th at 11 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. Russo Adams will speak on “What’s new in Italian record digitization from FamilySearch.org/ PortaleAntenati”. 

Russo-Adams will explain the history of the Italian records currently held by FamilySearch. She will discuss the status of the current civil registration digitization project: what records are being digitized, the best ways to access information, and the future of the project. She will also discuss the most recent developments in the website of the Italian National Archives, il Portale Antenati.   

Russo-Adams is a professional genealogist at FamilySearch.org who has been researching Italian roots for more than 25 years. She is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG), and adheres to their stringent ethical standards, including privacy, confidentiality, and the accuracy of family history with care, respect, and attention to detail.
