After a brief business meeting, this presentation will focus on how to better utilize the www.familysearch.org website to further your genealogical research. Included will be an update on some of FamilySearch’s newest tools and features, such as how to find some military records. There will be time to do some genealogical research on your own.

- ITALIAN PARISH RECORDS. Tuesday, August 6th, 7:30 p.m. Suzie Greco will provide an update on her grassroots non-profit organization’s efforts to digitize and preserve records found in Italian churches across the country. If you wish to donate to the cause, information on how to do so will be available. Note: this is a Zoom presentation. RSVP to clevelandCIAO@gmail.com. - ANNUAL CIAO POTLUCK PICNIC. Sunday, August 11 at 12:30 p.m. at Vino Veritas Cellars, 4103 Memphis Ave, Cleveland OH 44109 (Old Brooklyn neighborhood. Bring your potluck dish. Homemade wine and other alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Later in the afternoon, a food truck will arrive and there will be live music. The venue includes bocce courts and ample parking. Pop-up tent canopies are needed. If you can bring one, please email tomcir@yahoo.com.
