Cleveland CIAO

Italian Parish Records is a project of Players Philanthropy Fund, which focuses on protecting and preserving parochial registers as cultural treasures and sources of primary information for historical and genealogical purposes. On July 13, 2023, the CIAO group meet via Zoom with founder and director Suzie Greco, Her group has made great strides in preserving Italian parish records which, in many cases, are decaying in the basements of churches across our homeland.  Unlike Italian civil records, Italian church records, which trace back as far as the 16^th century, are NOT readily accessible to the public. Greco gave an update on the exciting progress that she and her group have made in making these records available.  A link to the video is included below.
